2024 Pekin Pride Soccer Club Classic Tournament
Pekin Pride Soccer Club will be hosting our 5th annual tournament. Recently renamed, The Tony Fulk Memorial Classic (formerly Kickoff to Summer Classic) will be held on May 24-26, 2024. This year we have renamed our tournament in honor of a long-time coach, husband, father, and friend to so many in our club. Tony Fulk was a long-time Pekin Pride coach and mentor who lost his battle with cancer in early September 2022. In order to honor Tony and the HUGE impact he made on so many players in our club, we made the decision to name our annual tournament in his honor. He was a coach who showed sportsmanship, a love for the game, and most importantly a genuine and sincere heart for his players. We couldn't think of any better way to honor his legacy than to name our tournament after him! We hope you will support the memory of Tony Fulk and our annual tournament.
After rave reviews from attending teams last year, we anticipate welcoming near 100 teams this year - ranging from U7 to U18 boy's and girl's teams. We want to invite clubs/teams from Illinois, Iowa, MIssouri, Indiana, and Wisconsin to join us for what is sure to be the BEST TOURNAMENT IN CENTRAL IL.
The Tony Fulk Memorial Classic Advantages: The focus is on scheduling competitive games in a friendly environment. All games will be played at our main site - Pekin Park District Sports Complex or the newly added site for 2024 - Coal Miners Park. If you are looking for a competitive tournament on great fields in a friendly environment at a reasonable cost, this is the event for you! Space will be limited and spots are expected to fill up quickly, so register early to guarantee your team gets in!
